Ube Soul · Y2K Luxury Rap

Prince Ube

Minneapolis born. Atlanta raised.
Y2K luxury rap. Calm flow. Expensive sound. Global taste.

Story

The name came from heartbreak. Someone who showed me the world ordered me ube ice cream — and that color, that deep purple, felt like me. The "Prince" comes from faith. A reminder I'm below God.

I taught myself production for hours alone — so many silent hours alone while everyone else went out. In school I freestyled in my mom's Nissan in the snow because the acoustics were better outside. The music was never a side project. It was the thing.

Producer, writer, engineer, designer — all one person. The genre is ube soul. Y2K luxury rap with jazz textures and lo-fi warmth. Influenced by Tyler the Creator, Hiatus Kaiyote, Kali Uchis, Curren$y, and Saba.
